DropFi vs Crossmark
Crossmark is a well-known XRPL wallet that helped pioneer the injection API for browser dApps. DropFi also supports injection and adds a mobile app, zero swap fees, and the same wallet across phone and desktop. Here’s how they stack up.
Why compare DropFi and Crossmark?
Both wallets are non-custodial and support the XRPL injection API, so dApp developers can integrate one standard and get “connect wallet” in the browser without QR codes. The main differences are where you can use each wallet (Crossmark is extension-only; DropFi has a mobile app and Chrome extension) and how fees work. DropFi does not charge swap or transaction fees on top of the network.
Extension-only vs mobile + extension
Crossmark is built for the browser: you install the extension and use it on desktop. DropFi offers the same in-browser experience via the Chrome extension and adds iOS and Android apps. You can use one DropFi wallet on your phone and in Chrome — same keys, same balance — and connect to dApps in the in-app browser on mobile or in Chrome on desktop. If you want a single wallet for both contexts, DropFi covers that; if you only use a desktop browser, either can work.
Fees
Crossmark does not add swap fees on top of the XRPL network. DropFi is the same: you only pay the minimal ledger fee. So on fees alone they’re aligned. The differentiator is availability (mobile + extension for DropFi) and whether you want one wallet across devices.
Comparison at a glance
Mobile & extension
DropFi is available as a mobile app (iOS & Android) and as a Chrome extension. Crossmark is extension-first. If you want one wallet on both phone and browser, DropFi covers both.
Injection + zero fees
Both support the XRPL injection API for dApp connections. DropFi does not charge swap or transaction fees on top of the network; you keep more of your funds when trading.
Bottom line
If you’re extension-only and don’t need mobile, Crossmark and DropFi are both injection-friendly and low-fee. If you want one wallet on mobile and desktop with the same injection API in both places, DropFi’s mobile app + Chrome extension gives you that. Either way, both are non-custodial and developer-friendly.
* XRPL network fees (~0.00001 XRP) apply. DropFi does not add fees on top.
